Dashing All The Way!
Best-selling and critically acclaimed historical romance authors Celeste Bradley, Eva Devon, Elizabeth Essex and Heather Snow heat up this Christmas with four never-before-released novellas guaranteed to make your holiday season merry and bright.
“A Rake for Christmas” by Eva DevonLady Evangeline Pennyworth is done with being a wallflower and turns to London's most notorious rake, demanding he teach her how to be desirable. After witnessing the love of his parents devolve into pain and anger, Anthony Basingstoke has vowed never to be swept away by passion, even if he finds himself taken by this wallflower in a way he’s never been before. Only a Christmas miracle will make true love a gift that will last forever.
“Up on the Rooftops” by Elizabeth EssexMischievous widow Caledonia Bowmont longs for London’s Christmas cheer, but a string of jewel thefts has brought the festive season to a standstill—and Society accuses the Scottish Wraith, Tobias McTavish. Toby is determined to clear his name and reclaim the life he’s built, so with Cally’s help, he heads up on the rooftops to trap the thief. Will they stop the high-carat crime, or find the hidden gem of lasting love instead?
“The Very Debonair Lady Claire” by Heather SnowWhen Claire Barton’s twin is murdered, she takes his place in the War Department to flush out his killer. Her ruse works perfectly—until the man who once broke her heart becomes her new spymaster. The worst mistake of Andrew Sedgewick’s life was walking away from Claire that Christmas six years ago. Now that he’s found her again, he doesn’t intend to let her go—if they both survive this holiday season.
“A Liar Under the Mistletoe” by Celeste BradleyFearless Amie Jackham doesn't attend balls to dance, she's there for the thrill of robbing the lockboxes of the unscrupulous. With the notorious Vixen still at large, Liar's Club spy Lord Elliot Hughes is taking the opportunity to clean out a few lockboxes for the good of Crown and Country—and leaving the Vixen's trademark lacy handkerchief behind. Thief and spy can’t resist each other in this sexy, catch-me-if-you-can Liar’s Club holiday novella.
DASHING ALL THE WAY is a four-author anthology loosely based on the names of Santa’s reindeer Dasher, Dancer, Prancer & Vixen (but we decided “Debonair” sounded sexier than “Prancer!”)
In addition, we all love a good caper, like the films “Charade” and “Ocean’s Eleven.” Why not put them together? It was meant to be.
Christmas & capers, like chocolate & kisses!
A RAKE FOR CHRISTMAS by Eva Devon
Only a Christmas miracle will make true love a gift that will last forever.
from the book…
“I think. . . I think it is likely you will be married before the New Year, Lady Evangeline.”
Her heart thudded loudly in her breast as it hit her that the only man she wished to wed was the one standing before her. And that, she knew, would never happen. Not for Christmas. Not for New Year. Not for anything. For Anthony Basingstoke was the sort of man who would never marry a miss such as she. No matter how she might suddenly wish for it.
Even at Christmastide, such a miracle would never occur.
Eva’s Christmas wish…
I would like a slow kiss under the mistletoe in a Scottish castle!”
UP ON THE ROOFTOPS by Elizabeth Essex
Will they stop the high-carat crime, or find the hidden gem of lasting love instead?
from the book…
“He kissed her the way a man kisses a woman he wants beyond distraction—with heat and perhaps a little anger. But he was angry—angry that she tempted him so. Angry that he couldn’t stop himself from wanting her just the same. Angry that she kissed him like he’d never been kissed before—as if she knew she was the most precious jewel he would ever hold in his hands.”
Elizabeth’s Christmas wish…
I would love to have a handful of precious jewels of my own to adorn my holiday outfits, but like Cally & Toby, I know that the most precious jewels are the comfort and joy of having family and friends together, happy and healthy for the holidays.
THE VERY DEBONAIR LADY CLAIRE by Heather Snow
Now that he’s found her again, he doesn’t intend to let her go–if they both survive this holiday season.
from the book…
“I must go,” she admonished, stepping out of his reach. His beautiful lips drooped with such disappointment that she said without thinking, “but if you meet me under the mistletoe at midnight, I promise to make it worth your while.”
Andrew’s moss-green eyes flashed with heat, and Claire felt her cheeks warm in answer. She couldn’t believe she’d said something so brazen, and yet she was glad she had.
He lifted her hand to his lips and pressed a kiss against it. “Midnight under the mistletoe it shall be, then.”
As Claire hurried back into the stuffy ballroom, she found herself already counting the minutes with a giddy anticipation…
Heather’s Christmas wish…
Dear Santa: Merry Christmas! As a harried home-schooling mom of two, I ask for some year-round-Christmas magic so I have the time and energy to get more writing done! Or some elves…elves would be nice. House-cleaning elves. Cooking elves. Laundry elves, maybe. I have so many books I want to write, and so little time! As for you, dear readers, I’m wishing you peace, joy, and lots of reading time. And, of course, someone special to meet beneath the mistletoe at midnight!
A LIAR UNDER THE MISTLETOE by Celeste Bradley
Thief and spy can’t resist each other in this sexy, catch-me-if-you-can Liar’s Club story.
from the book…
Either way, this was Amie’s last chance to know him, to feel him, to slide her hands over his wide shoulders, to dig her fingers into his thick hair, to taste his mouth and feel his hand bringing her pleasure beneath her skirts. It might be all she ever had to keep her warm through her future lonely Christmases. I’m stealing this moment. That is, after all, what I do.
Celeste’s Christmas wish…
Dear Santa, I want to take my man away for a weekend to a snowed-in cabin (with no wi-fi!) and (almost!) nothing to do but curl up together in front of the fire!
To win a print copy of DASHING ALL THE WAY, tell us what you would ask Santa for this year!
