When fantasy becomes reality…
The last thing nanny Alice Sommers needs is to be caught skinny-dipping by her sexy, cranky-pants boss—in his pool. Her sister owes a crap-load of money to a slimy loan shark and Alice really needs this job if she has any hope of saving her family. Fortunately, her boss is richer than sin and needs her just as much.
Art dealer Lorenzo Baldi will lose his prestigious career if his anarchist father’s paintings are revealed to the art world. He’s determined to persuade the paintings’ eccentric owner to sell them to him, even if to pull it off, he’ll have to blackmail his daughter’s nanny—a woman with the sexy curves of a Botticelli masterpiece—into being his fake fiancé.
The gorgeous island of Capri inspires some major misbehaving. But even as the loan shark breathes down Alice’s neck and the paintings move closer to the art scene, Lorenzo drops one more bomb that will change everything.

After only on chapter, I knew this was going to be Carmen Falcone’s best book ever, and boy, was I ever right! I loved, loved, loved it, and OH how I love Alice!
Alice Sommers is having the day from hell. She’s about to go to her job as a nanny, when she’s threatened by the loan shark she needs to pay; it’s for her sister’s medical bills. What had been $15000 has become $20000, and she doesn’t have that kind of money. Her boss Lorenzo Baldi, whom she thought was away, surprises her skinny dipping, but worst, he’s with a very important woman. And this woman is of utmost importance in preventing Lorenzo’s career from disintegrating. Just by being herself, Alice charms the woman, Lorenzo decides to pass off Alice as his fiancée to secure his deal; but Alice drives a hard bargain: he will give her the $20000 she desperately needs.
The premise sounds fun, just wait until you read the book! I absolutely adore Carmen Falcone, and A WEEKEND OF MISBEHAVING confirms everything I love about Ms. Falcone ten times over!
Alice is the best heroine ever: she’s a plus-size woman, she’s confident, she’s sexy, and she is honest to a fault. And she talks way too much, to our utter delight. This book has the best dialogues ever: snappy, funny, clever. Alice is a force of nature, and Lorenzo is completely overwhelmed. And so is the reader! Ms. Falcone’s writing is young, spirited, colourful, snappy; the pace of the book, relentless, and the characters magnificent. But better yet, this is the strongest story the author has ever written; with each book, she gets better: more creative, she can turn the most obvious plot into a work of genius and make it look like no one has ever thought of that trope before. And Alice, OH Alice! She is an inspiration for women everywhere: she is so real, I feel she is my friend, I would want her to be my friend.
Do yourself a favour, and grab this book as soon as you can, because A WEEKEND OF MISBEHAVING is stupendous, amazing, funny, sexy, clever, wonderful… I could go on forever!
