New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Katee Robert continues her smoking-hot series about the O'Malleys—wealthy, powerful, and full of scandalous family secrets.
Carrigan O'Malley has always known her arranged marriage would be more about power and prestige than passion. But after one taste of the hard-bodied, whiskey-voiced James Halloran, she's ruined for anyone else. Too bad James and his family are enemy number 1.
Hallorans vs. O'Malleys—that's how it's always been. James should be thinking more about how to expand his family's empire instead of how silky Carrigan's skin is against his and how he can next get her into his bed. Those are dangerous thoughts. But not nearly as dangerous as he'll be if he can't get what he wants: Carrigan by his side for the rest of their lives.

Although I am not a fan of organised crime romances, I had so loved the hero, Teague O’Malley in the first instalment of this series, that I took a chance on THE WEDDING PACT. I also must admit that had the cover not been that enticing, I might not have picked it up, sad I know, but there you go. And a good thing I was shallow for once!
The Boston Irish mob is experiencing a truce, but it’s not precisely peace. And the mob is the mob, after all. Carrigan O’Malley and James Halloran realised their attraction to each other when Carrigan was kidnapped by the Hallorans – yes, and the whole thing makes perfect sense: Carrigan understands the workings of the underworld but still giving in to her attraction to James is folly. He is after all the new boss of the Halloran family. What I found most amazing about THE WEDDING PACT is that it’s not convoluted: everything makes perfect sense, it all feels very realistic. Katee Robert does not sugar coat the mob: it is what it is, and I think that’s one of the reasons why it works so well. Both Carrigan and James are very strong characters, totally believable, as is their romance. Ms. Robert succeeded in captivating my attention from the beginning until the very exciting and action-packed ending. Every character in THE WEDDING PACT is extremely well developed, so much so, that I hope that Ms. Robert will make The O’Malleys more than the promised trilogy. I even loved Dmitri Romanov, and I hope we haven’t seen the last of him. If you love Mafia romances, you will eat this up, if you usually don’t, give THE WEDDING PACT a try: I had liked The Marriage Contract, the first book, but I absolutely loved THE WEDDING PACT. A fabulous read!
